The newly opened Avianto Trails are situated at the Avianto Clubhouse in Muldersdrift. A fantastic ride in the Muldersdrift countryside which offers a blue route (Intermediate) and is 90% single-track. It is well maintained and offers the rider a good test of fitness and skill levels. A Green (beginner) loop offers an introduction to mountain biking and the blue loops can easily be added as your skills and fitness levels increase.
The route is never more than 2km from the clubhouse, in the event of a crash or mechanical failure.
- Kiddies Loop - 2.5km - this trail doesn't cross any roads and is an easy Jeep track.
- Green Loop - 6km - this trail is more advanced than the kiddies loop but it keeps to wider roads and Jeep track, so this is most suitable for beginners.
- Blue Loop - 32km - this trail is for an intermediate level of mountain biker. This route has multiple turnaround points (return to club house) and can be easily shortened to 17km or 22km as your fitness and skills increase.
- Extra Black Loop - these peel off from the blue route and add advanced sections as well as more distance to the blue route. These routes are for advanced riders only and you ride this route at your own risk.
The Avianto clubhouse is open from 6:00 to 14:00 on weekends and public holidays. After hours and during the week both riders and runners can purchase their trail bands from the Avianto Main reception on the other side of the river from the clubhouse.
