Tracker always supports safe cycling with our RideFree initiatives, which is why we’re really excited to announce the upgrade of our Tracker Ride Free Bike Park in Modderfontein. This mountain bike park is located at Central Park Trails in Modderfontein and promises to be a venue where friends and families can enjoy the great South African outdoors, the fresh smell of nature and their chosen sport of cycling; all within the safe environment of the cycling park. With the safety of cyclists being a major concern on South African roads, the upgrade of the mountain bike park couldn’t have come at a better time. It offers a safe space for South Africans to do what they love, without the worry of oncoming traffic or crime related incidents; something that Tracker is passionate about. Riding Free The cycle park caters to cyclists of all ages and abilities and is home to four varying routes. There is a 10km fun ride for the cyclists who want to take it a little easier as well as much more advanced trails of up to almost 50km for the experienced riders. The launch of the upgraded park had a number of experts visiting the premises to give advice and support to all cyclists. This was a taste of what’s to come with monthly skills clinics to become a regular occurrence at the Modderfontein cycle park. The Chief Marketing Officer at Tracker, Bronwynn Tippett had this to say about the RideFree initiative and the Modderfontein park: “This initiative is one we are very excited about. There is a big need to offer cyclists a safe alternative to being on our roads and RideFree is Tracker’s answer to the public’s call for safer cycling. Until we make our roads safer, bike parks such as the RideFree bike park at Modderfontein will provide enthusiasts of all levels the freedom to ride.” This is the first cycle park that the public can enjoy, but Tracker is set to sponsor many more in support of our safe cycling RideFree initiatives.
